The Evening Prayer

He, the Merciful One, is forgiving of iniquity and does not destroy. Frequently He withdraws His anger, not arousing His entire rage. O Lord, save! May the King answer us on the day we call. <>

With an eternal love have You loved the House of Israel, Your nation. Torah and commandments have You taught us. Therefore O Lord, our God. Upon our retiring and arising, we will discuss Your law sand we will rejoice with the words of Your Torah for all eternity. For they are our life and the length of our daysand about them we will meditate day and night. May You not remove Your love from us forever. Blessed are You, O Lord, Who loves His nation Israel.

The Shema

HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD IS OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE

And you shall love the Lord Your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might. Let these things that I teach you today be upon your heart.

And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall speak of them
when you sit at home, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.              (The Tsfillin)
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

(The Mezuzah)

In order to remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for Your God.
I am the Lord, Your God, who lead you from the land of Egypt to be a god to You. I am the Lord, Your God.

The Amidah
The Amidah is the central prayer of all four services: shacharit (morning), mincha (afternoon), maariv (evening).

Patriarchs

Blessed are You, O LORD our God and God of our fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the great, mighty and revered God, the Most High God who bestows loving kindnesses, the creator of all things, who remembers the good deeds of the patriarchs and in love will bring a redeemer to their children's children for his name's sake. O king, helper, savior and shield.

Blessed are You, O LORD, the shield of Abraham.

God’s might

You, O LORD, are mighty forever, You revive the dead, You have the power to save.  You sustain the living with loving kindnesses,

You revive the dead with great mercy; You support the falling, heal the sick, set free the bound and keep faith with those who sleep in the dust.

Who is like You, O doer of mighty acts? Who resembles You, a king who puts to death and restores to life, and causes salvation to flourish? And You are certain to revive the dead.

Blessed are You, O LORD, who revives the dead.

Forgiveness

Forgive us, O our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, O our King, for we have transgressed; for You pardon and forgive.

Blessed are You, O LORD, who is merciful and always ready to forgive.

Deliverance

Look upon our affliction and plead our cause, and redeem us speedily for Your name’s sake, for You are a mighty redeemer.

Heal us, O LORD, and we will be healed; save us and we will be saved, for You are our praise. O grant a perfect healing to all our ailments,

for You, almighty King, are a faithful and merciful healer.

Blessed are You, O  LORD, the healer of the sick of his people Israel.

* At this point, one may interject a prayer for one who is ill:

May it be Your will, O  LORD my God, and the God of my forefathers, that You quickly send a complete recovery from heaven, spiritual healing and physical healing to the patient (name) son/daughter of (mother's name) among the other patients of Israel.

Answer our prayers

Hear our voice, O LORD, our God; spare us and have pity on us. Accept our prayer in mercy and with favor, for You are a God who hears

prayers and supplications. O our King, do not turn us away from Your presence empty-handed, for You hear the prayers of Your people Israel with

compassion.

Blessed are You, O LORD, who hears prayer.

<> Your lovingkindnesses never cease. We have always put our hope in You. For all these acts may Your name be blessed and exalted continually, <>O our King, forever and ever. Let every living thing give thanks to You and praise Your name in truth, O God, our salvation and our help. (Selah.)

Peace

My God, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust

to everyone. Open my heart to Your Torah, then my soul will pursue Your commandments. As for all those who design evil against me, speedily nullify

their counsel and disrupt their design. Act for Your Name's sake; act for Your right hand's sake; act for Your sanctity's sake; act for Your Torah's sake. That Your beloved ones may be given rest; let Your right hand save, and respond to me. May they be acceptable the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart, before You Adonoy, my rock and my redeemer.

He Who makes peace in His high may He make peace among us and upon all Israel... Amen.

Aleinu

It is our job to praise the Master of everything, and to give greatness to the Creator of the beginning, for He has not made us like the nations of the lands, and He has not made us like the families of the earth, for He has not made our portion like theirs, and our lot like their populations (for they bow to nonsense and emptiness, and they pray to a God who cannot save) while we kneel, bow, and give thanks to the King of Emperors, the Holy One, Blessed is He.

For He stretches out the sky and establishes the earth, and the dwelling place of His honor is in the skies above and the presence of His power is in the highest heights. He is our God, there is no other. It is truth. There is nothing without our King. As it says in the Torah, "Today You shall know and take to heart that the  LORD is the God, in the skies above and on the earth below, there is no other."
